NRCS sponsored the annual Enviromental Education Competition today at Lake Chatauqua in Crystal Springs, Mississippi.
Keep Copiah County Beautiful has two Great American Cleanup events planned. The first is the Great American Cleanup Kickoff, which is set for April 3 at Copiah-Lincoln Community College at Stone Stadium. Wesson Attendance Center, Precious Moments, Wesson Baptist Church kindergartners will attend and march in the parade. Boomer, KCCB’s mascot, Rusty and Randi, KCCB’s puppets, and Mississippi Department of Transportation Commissioner Dick Hallwill be there, too. Crystal Springs Recycling is sponsoring the ballons to be released for the kickoff.
The second is the Great American Cleanup event on April 13, which is a countywide effort. Dumpsters will be available at eight sites around the county, including Allen, Barlow, Bethel, Georgetown, Hopewell and Smyrna volunteer fire departments as well as Stronghope Church Ballpark and Village of Beauregard City Hall. “We encourage you to bring appliances, tires, batteries and other unwanted items to these points around the county,” KCCB Executive Director Nora Berch said. “We also encourage people with electronic waste to bring it to Crystal Springs Recycling. ” Contact our executive director, Nora Berch, at (601) 894-4487 or email@example.com for more information.
